    3.Mutualism, Commensalism, and Parasitism.
4.cats, spiders, wolves, sharks, whales, etc. they eat meat.
    5. Ecology is the science of determining how species within an environment relate to one another.

  12. 1. A niche is the roll an organism plays in its environment, and a habitat is the environment around the organism.

    2. Producers make their own food, predators kill other organisms for their food, and parasites feed off of a host.

    3. Commensalism is when both species are neither helped or harmed, Parasitism is when one species is helped and the other one is harmed, and mutualism is when both species are helped.

    4. Carnivores are meat eaters (tiger, lions, and bears)

    5. without ecology no species would thrive. Species need one another to survive.

  13. 1. A niche is what is animals role, while a habitat is the area in which it lives.
    2. Prey eats producers, predators eat prey.
    3. Commensalism (benefits and doesn’t), parasitism (one benifits other is harmed), mutualism (both benefit)
    4. Carnivores eat only meat. Ex. alligator
    5. Ecology is important in my life because I know which animals will be in specific environments and what they will do if I invade it.

  14. 1. niche differs from a habbitat because a niche is an organisims role in the ecosystem, and a habbitat is where the organisim lives,
    3. Tigers, Lions, and the Cyote are all examples of carnivors. They eat only meet.
    5. Ecology is important in my life, because it is important to know about other organism’s habbitats and how they live. It helps us better understand the world around us.

  15. 1.)The community provides the habitat—the place where particular plants or animals live. Within the habitat, organisms occupy different niches.

A niche is the functional role of a species in a community—that is, its occupation, or how it earns its living. For example, the scarlet tanager lives in a deciduous forest habitat. Its niche, in part, is gleaning insects from the canopy foliage.

2.)Cannibalism is an intraspecific interaction in which the larger members eat up the smaller ones of their own species. An individual that eats is known as a cannibal, and the one eaten as a prey. Symbiosis is a relationship between organisms of different species for the purpose of nutrition. Examples of symbiosis include parasitism, mutualism and commensalism.Neutralism is when a species may not beaffected by the presence of other species in its environment. Scavenging is the act of feeding by an animal on the remains of dead animals and other refuse. Amensalism is an interaction in which one species causes harm to another species with its toxic secretion, often without gaining any benefit from the interaction.Parasitism is when an organism that feeds in or on another living organism, which is called the host, and which does not benefit and may be harmed by the relationship. Parasites of man include fleas, lice and tapeworm

3.)any symbiotic relationship in which one symbiont lives within the tissues of the other, either in the intracellular space or extracellularly.Examples include diverse microbiomes, rhizobia, nitrogen-fixing bacteria that live in root nodules on legume roots; actinomycete nitrogen-fixing bacteria called Frankia, which live in alder tree root nodules; single-celled algae inside reef-building corals; and bacterial endosymbionts that provide essential nutrients to about 10%–15% of insects.

4.) An organism that derives its energy and nutrient requirements from a diet consisting mainly or exclusively of animal tissue, whether through predation or scavenging

5.) Ecology is of utmost importance to all species including us. We, like all other animals depend on this earth for everything; food, water, shelter. Everything on this earth depends on something else but ecology is so dynamic that even the smallest perturbation can upset everything

  16. 1. A niche defines the role of a specific organism.
    2. Mutual and parasitic are opposite due to the negative outcome of parasitic.
3.Mutual, and parasitic relationships signify the role of an organism in its niche.
    4. Carnivores only eat prey or meat.
    5. Ecology helps define organisms by discovering their quirks.

  17. 1)A niche is a recess in a wall and a habitat is the environment where a plant or animal naturally or normally lives and grows.
2)Cannibalism is an intraspecific interaction in which the larger members eat up the smaller ones of their own species. An individual that eats is known as a cannibal, and the one eaten as a prey.
Symbiosis is a relationship between organisms of different species for the purpose of nutrition. Examples of symbiosis include parasitism, mutualism and commensalism.
Neutralism is when a species may not be affected by the presence of other species in its environment. Scavenging is the act of feeding by an animal on the remains of dead animals and other refuse.
Amensalism is an interaction in which one species causes harm to another species with its toxic secretion, often without gaining any benefit from the interaction.
Parasitism is when an organism that feeds in or on another living organism, which is called the host, and which does not benefit and may be harmed by the relationship. Parasites of man include fleas, lice and tapeworms.
Predation is the interaction between two species, one of which captures, kills and eats up the other. The prey is the animal that is hunted for as food and the predator is the animal that feeds on other animals (a predator is a food consumer but is not a parasite). The relationship between predator and prey can have dramatic effects on their numbers and on the food chain.
3)there is Comensilism, parasitism, and mutualism. Commensilism – one organism benefits and the other is unharmed.
    Example: whales and barnacles
    Mutualism: both organisms are helped.
Example: the clown fish and the sea anemani (my spelling sucks…sorry)
Parasitism: one organism is helped and the other is harmed.
    Example: Humans and tapeworms.
They are all similar in the fact that atleast one organism is being helped
    4)
