4.read and follow directions very carefully, do not perform unauthrized experiments.
5. it is important to wear safety goggles in the lab because when handleing chemicals they could splash in your eye.
1) You should always wear saftey goggles in the lab because you never know when there may be a chemical spalsh, spill or fumes that can injure the eye. The eyes should be covered for protection at all times!!
2) I know that chemical saftey is very important because some chemicals are very, very toxic. They could even cause severe burns to the body and also damage to the throat and lungs if the chemical is inhaled. That is why you have to wear protective gear such as masks, gloves, and goggles.
3) You shouldnt wear baggy clothes and/or dangling earings because baggy clothing will absorb alot more fumes from the chemicals and could possibly make you terriby sick! Alot of chemical fumes attack meatls such reaction causes heat which could burn the burn te ear and neck!

5. Why is it important to wear safety goggles in the lab?
1. Baggy clothes and dangling earrings don’t need to be worn in the lab for a few reasons. The first is your baggy clothes or dangling earrings can get caught on something and if there’s any fire around it could catch you clothes on fire and potentially hurt you. You should also put long hair up for the same reason can happen. Chemicals can also pose a problem for your lose clothes/dangling earrings. Chemicals can do just as much damage as fire maybe even more.
2.In Biology we learned about many different types of lab equipment. Three types of lab equipment we learned about are: Erlenmeyer Flask, Graduated Cylinder, and Test Tube. An Erlenmeyer Flask is conical, flat-bottomed laboratory flask with a narrow neck. A Graduated Cylinder is a piece of laboratory equipment used to accurately measure the volume of an object. A Test Tube is a thin glass tube closed at one end, used to hold small amounts of material for laboratory testing or experiments.
3. Safety goggles are essential in the science lab. They are an essential especially when doing labs. If you ever do a lab you wear safety goggles because you never know when something could explode in your face. If you were dealing with chemicals and something came back at you, you wouldn’t have to worry about getting anything in your eyes. If you didn’t wear safety goggles your eyes would always be unprotected.
Three types of hab equipment I have learned about this week are:
1. Beaker tongs
2. Tripod
3. Wire Gauze
You should always wear goggles when doing an experiment because, a chemical of some sort or an acid could possibly burst out of its area (beaker) and get into your eyes.
You shouldn’t wear baggy clothes or dangly earrings because your clothes, ect could easily catch on fire, or you could get an acid on your clothes and it could stain or burn them.
1. Explain why you should not wear baggy cloths or dangling earrings in the lab.
we shouldnt wear baggy cloths because the lab coats might probably fit and if we wear dangling earing we might not be able to hear clearly or we might desturb other people.
