    2 1340 babies are born with this syptome, there is no speciafic treatment, and you can know before the baby is born if it has the septome.

    3 that some people should not make fun of them because i was almost born with the syptome

    1. My personal gentic disorder wasTurner Syndrome.
    2. I leared that Turner Syndrome only occurs in girls. Turner Syndrome means that the girl who has this disorder has one less sex cell than a normal girl. Turner Syndrome means that the girl will not be able to have children.
    3. I now feel extremly sorry for anybody who has a gentic disorder. I feel that people with these disorders should be treated with gentle care.
    4. I learned that Down Syndrome means you have one less chromosome than you are supposed too.
    5. I would want to be a gentic counsonler. I want to be a gentic consunler because i would want to work with people who need help.

    2. It is most common in African Americans. It is usually passed through genes. The most effective cure is a bone marrow transfer.
    3. I feel sorry for them becasue they cannot help it. Genetic disorders are usually passed down for generations.
    4. People with albinism usually have bad eye vision.
    5. I would be a Medical Geneticist because they help people get better by using modern tools.

    2.(1) Thing ’bout turrets is also called Tourette’s syndrome, Tourette’s disorder, Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, GTS or, more commonly, simply Tourette’s or TS. (2) Thing is an inherited neuropsychiatric disorder with onset in childhood, characterized by the presence of multiple physical (motor) tics and at least one vocal (phonic) tic; these tics characteristically wax and wane. Tourette’s is defined as part of a spectrum of tic disorders, which includes transient and chronic tics.(3) Thing is Tourette’s was once considered a rare and bizarre syndrome, most often associated with the exclamation of obscene words or socially inappropriate and derogatory remarks (coprolalia).
    3.I feel like you should joke about people with turrets cause,the severity of the tics decreases for most children as they pass through adolescence, and extreme Tourette’s in adulthood is a rarity.
    4.I didnt look up another genetic disorder just Turrets.
    5.i dont know yet.

    2. It happens mostly in boys, it is a rare bleeding disorder, and it started with a royal European family.
    3. I thought about how these people would live in their everyday life, and how they dealt with their cuts and injuries.
    4. I learned that Turner Syndrome kids have stunted growth and they mature slower than others.
    5. I would like to work with color blind kids. I think it would be an amazing experience to see how they learn and deal with their live.

    1. Gigantism was my personal Genetic Disorder.
    2. Th sypmtoms of Gigantism which is excessive growth and long arms and long legs and there is alot more but it’s really long so i want say alot. One of the treatments are Radiotherapy which is for the pituary tumor. And also surgery is for the pituary tumor.
    3. It exchange my perceptions by don’t make fun of people with genetic disorders because it could have been you and thank god.
    4. That one of the symptoms are late closure of epiphyses.
    5. Probably, Ecological genetics because you get to study the the interactions among organisms and between the organisms and their environment.

    1. Me and Ryan Chamberlain did Color Blindness.

    2.First I learned that color blindness is genetic, second there are multiple stages of color blindness, and third if you have color blindness and the mother/father of you child doesn’t, each of the kids has about a 50/50 chance of color blindness.

    3. I haven’t presented yet.

    4. I learned that the Sickle Cell disorder can cause you blood vessels to clogg severely.

    5. If I could choose a kob in the field of genetics I would probobly choose to be a biotechnician because they work with finding ways to engingeer and change properties of genes.

    3. I just thought about how lucky I am to be a norma, healthy,person because some people in life are born with a disease such as HIV, Gigantism, or Sickle-Cell Anemia.

    2. Diabetes is the when you have to much glucose in your body. Diabetes can hurt all organs of the body. There are about 23.6 million people who have Diabetes, and 6 million people who have but they don’t know they do.
    3. I now feel more sorry for them now.
    4. Diabetes can cause wounds that can’t be healed.
    5. Diabetes because I know a lot more about it now.

    2. Sickle cell is a life-long blood disorder when red blape.ood cells that assume an abnormal, rigid, sickle shape. It can cause blood clots. Also people with sickle cell live to about 42 to 49.

    2A – The chances of getting this disease is 1 in 1,000,000.
    2B – During the beginning of the fetus’ cell production, the gene ABCA12 is defected causing the improper lipid transport.
    2C – ABCA12 is a lipid transport gene.
    3. I felt really bad for the people that had the genetic disorder that I studied, because it is a very life changing disorder that is very hard to cope with.
    4. ABCA12 gene helps the skin from losing water and elasticity.
    5. A forensic scientist because they are the ones who use science skills to help civil matters and conflicts.

    1.My genetic disorder tay-sachs disease.
    2.One i learned that anybody can be carriers of it.Two its three different kinds of it.Three there is one kind it starts at 6 months of age and the person usually dies at age four.
    3.It changed my perceptions because people who have genetic disorders they go threw hard times.
    4.One thing that I learned from crystal’s genetic disorder project is that some people they are kind of blind but they can still drive because they have these special eyewear that they have to wear so they can see better.
    5.I would choose tay-sachs disease because it was very interesting.

    Question # 1Itis a neuro-genetic disorder where the patient suffers from:

    – sleep disturbance,
    – seizures, jerky movements especially hand-flapping, f
    – requent laughter or smiling, and usually a happy demeanor
    2 – There is currently no cure available.
    3 – It used to be called the Happy Puppet syndrome

    After reading about this disorder and how the patients have the awkward motions and appearances, I felt bad for them as I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for them.

    My genetic disorder was turner syndrome.

    I learned it mostly occurs in girls,it is a medical disorder that affects about 1 in every 2500 girls, and treatment can begin as early as 2 to 3 years of age and can add 3 to 5 inches to the girl’s height.

    One of the most fascinating fact about another genetic disorder was Hemophilia the royal disease and why it was called the royal disease.

    2. The symptoms are: mood swings, confusion, and language breakdown.
    3. I now know what the symptoms are and hope one day to find a cure.
    4. One of the disorders make you seem like your 112 years old by the look of your body, yet you would be only 40 when you die with the disease.
    5. The occupation I would chose is to help fight off the disorder because, I think, if I can cure it, then I could help save lives and & probably get rich someday…

    2. – Autism usually appears in the first three years of age.
    – They can be sensitive to sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.
    – Autism affects the the person’s communication and social skills in some way.

    3. I now realize that autistic kids are really smart and most of them know what’s wrong with them and it doesn’t bother them.

    4. I learned that Harlequin Fetus is an extremely sever skin disorder.

    5. I would want to be a genetic counselor because it would be fun to examine the test results and tell the person who has the disorder what they have.

    2. I learned that Autsim effects 1in 110 kids, Autism is four times more likely to occur in boys than girls, and there is no cure for Autism.
    3. I realized that kids with Autism are scared a lot and that I should treat kids with Autism the way I would treat a younger child and be patient.
    4. I learned that with Gigantism can grow to be over 8 feet tall.
    5. If I had an opportunity to work in the field of Genetics I don’t know what occupation I would chose because there are so many different diseases and they are all very interesting.

    2. People who has Progeria age 8 to 10 times faster than normal humans do, they have no eyelashes, eyebrows and are bald, they usually live 13 years.
    4. In Proteus syndrome people have big heads and they can’t sleep like normal humans, they have to sit.

    4. Mermaid syndrome- Barely any people live longer than two years old
    5.I would want to be a geneticist because i would want people to understand what going on with them and how they can live a normal life as possible

    2. there eyes move involuntary. They cant keep hair dye in their hair. You can get ocular albinism where your eyes are only albino.
    3. Instead of going “Ew, whats wrong with them” I now just look right over it because they still wanted to be treated like normal people and I have more respect for them because they cna still be great.
    4. I learned with Johns disease that people with it have to have a tube in their mouth while they sleep so they can get nutrients.
    5. If I worked with genetics I would probably go into finding out about autism and how it is caused because I am really curious about that.

    2. First, I learned that people that have Canavan disease can have seizures. Second, I learned that 1 in 6,000 to 13,500 people get Canavan disease in the world. Third, I learned that Myrtelle Canavan was the first to dicover the disease.
    3. From genetic disorders, people can be differnet then others and it could happen to anybody. Also it could your life.
    4. AngelMan Syndrome can cause swallowing diffuculties.
    5. I would choose Behavioral Genetics so i could know how people act during a disease.

    2. There are more than 10 symptoms for the disease, people with it have frequent lung infections, and it cannot be prevented or fully cured.
    3. It made me feel very lucky that I dont have them and I look up to the people that have them and have learned to live with it.
    4. Gigantism causes you body to grow uncontrolably.
    5. I would want to experiment for cures because I would feel very highly of myself if I could find a cure for a diesease.

    2)People that have dwarfism can only grow up to about 4 feet and 10 inches, There are more than one types of dwarfism, dwarfism is very rare.

    3)I realized that these people can’t help it and it made me feel really sad for them.

    4)Gigantism makes people very oversized and it is very uncommon.

    5) If I had the chance to work in the feild of genetics I would work as a teacher, so that I could teach others what i knew.

    -It was named after John Langdon Down, the British physician, who the first to described the syndrome in 1866.
    -The ocurrs 1/800 births

    I would say i learned that a genetic disorder is series business and not a laughing matter to those who have it.

    I learned of a new genetic disorder called the Angelman. A disorder that makes one face a stiiff sile for life.

    Because I would learn to care for those disorders that deal with blindness or the lack of ablity to see well.
