It is known to occur in a variety of physical and psychological disorders, such as epilepsy and schizophrenia, and can be induced by hypnosis.
    My mom has gotten catalepsy.

    2.Epilepsy-Any of various neurological disorders characterized by sudden recurring attacks of motor, sensory, or psychic malfunction with or without loss of consciousness or convulsive seizures.
    My grandfather got epilepsy when he turned 73.

    Catalepsy-nervous condition characterized by muscular rigidity. Catalepsy is a rare birth disorder.

    1. Narcolepsy~ a sleep disorder characterized by sudden and uncontrollable episodes of deep sleep. I haven’t ever experienced a narcolepsy.

    2. Catalepsy~ a trancelike state with loss of voluntary motion and failure to react to stimuli. I wonder who this has happened too.

    Narcolepsy is when you have a sleeping disorder and have episodes of deep sleeps.

    I have no idea what epilepsy is but i think it has to do with a disorder in the nervous sytem.

    Symptoms of catalepsy include: rigid body, rigid limbs, limbs staying in same position when moved, loss of muscle control, and slowing down of bodily functions, such as breathing.
