  29. As blood flows to the heart from the toes and fingers, it travels mainly through tissue

The veins carry blood to your heart. The cell trades oxygen for its carbon dioxide waste which is then carried back through the veins to the heart and lungs for re-oxygenation. Once it is re- oxygenated, it goes through srteries and back up again to your veins.

    2. The simplest type of neural circuit is a reflex , which begins with a sensory input and ends with a motor output, passing through a sequence of neurons in between. For example, when you touch a hot stove, it causes the hand to jerk back after its touched. The circuit begins with sensory receptors in the skin that are activated by harmful levels of heat. There the axon makes excitatory synaptic contacts with other cells, some of which project to the same region of the spinal cord, others projecting into the brain. The excitatory signals induce contraction of the muscle cells, which causes the joint angles in the arm to change, pulling the arm away.

    4. When blood travels from the heart to the toes or the fingers, it goes through tissue called veins. Veins receive blood from the capillaries after the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide has taken place. Therefore, the veins transport waste-rich blood back to the lungs and heart. It is important that the waste-rich blood keeps moving in the proper direction and not be allowed to flow backward. This is accomplished by valves that are located inside the veins.

1.Arteries are tough elastic tubes that carries blood away from the heart. They divide into smaller vessels. The largest arteries are thick as a thumb. Veins carry blood to the heart. Veins have very thin walls.

2.The neurons in their nervous system makes them react to it. Neurons send signals to other cells. A neuron is basically a nerve cell. The nervous syystem gets its name from nerves. Nerves are large enough to have been recognized by the ancient Egyptians.

3.Your stomach helps you digest the food. Your food goes down the esophagus after chewing it and swollowing it. Your large intestine is the part of the digestive system is where waste products from the food you eat are collected. The small intestine is the longest portion of the digestive tract. These are all the parts of the digestive system.

4.Vein carries blood to the heart. Arteries carries blood away from the heart. Blood flow through every part of your body. Your body also has white blood cells. Blood has plasma in it.

5.If your food enters the wrong tube it would go to the trachea. When that happens it would make the person cough. The respiratory system includes the heart. It is mostly blood in the respiratory system.
