We traveled to Reflectives today to plant flowers for the Care Center. We learned many wonderful scientific from Mrs. McClintock, name a few new things that you learned. What did you enjoy most about the experience?

    I already knew that durt was some kind of minure but I thought all of it was cow minure. Mrs. McClintock thought me that they all dont have the same minure and that some durts have acids.And what I enjoyed the most about the expereince is that we got to pick little baby plants!(So cute):)!

    I learned how to care for plants. I learned that mitosis is for plants & mesois is for people. I also learned that Mrs.Davis really cares about making the world a better place. I enjoyed getting hands on with the plants & knowing that all that we did would help people in need.

    we learned how to transfer a plant to another and that was the most interesting about it

    I learned that plants get by mitosis.

    Well, I learned that you need to plant the plants in the center so that they grow straighter and more center. If you dont cover up most of the plant, then it will freeze. I enjoyed being able to work with dirt and plants.

    I was outside and i learned that the soil is very moist and you dont want to over fill the container because you need to have enough room to put the plant in.

    I enjoyed being outside and actually being able to help them and and just being apart of doing community service.

    That all plants start out in one place then get moved to a bigger place for growth
    I got to play with dirt and a rooster

    I learned that transplanting the plants is important and I liked planting them with my friends!

    I learned that you can’t pull the bulb out by the stem you have to poke it out and that there is soil holders that disappear in the ground. My favorite thing was putting the bulbs in the soil! We should definitely go back!

    I learned about how careful you have to be when planting, i enjoyed planting the little plants

    I learned about plants and what to do with them.
    I enjoyed that I got to see a chicken and her dog. It was really fun!

    I learnd that plants produced chlorophyll. Planting the flowers for the senior center.

    I learned that day lilies come from the word hemerocallis and that you have to make a mound in the pot of the dirt if you want to plant the lily in the middle of the dirt.

    I learned that lime is good for your soil, worms hibernate, what worm castings are, and how they feel. I enjoyed popping out the tiny plants and putting them into little pots, and seeing baby chickens.

    I learned that it is important to take care of plants. Also that plants need a good environment to grow. I enjoyed planting the plants into soil.

    that plants can live with water and sun light and for some reason that plucks like coffee

    I wasnt there but yall prbobly learned the cell cycle for a plant or mitosis or something like that.

    1. Horse manure is just like any other natural fertilizer.
    2. She said that horse manure has very high acid content and because some plants don’t like that they could die from it.
    3. The high acid content could only be controlled when lime is added to the manure.
    This best experience I encouter was digging the manure from the top of the pile.

    I learned a more advanced way to transplant a plant. I learned about the importance of greenhouse.
    I loved planting the pants in the soil/manure and then moving them.

    I learned that bulbs are used to start the flower. i enjoyed putting all the bulbs in the pot.

    ~ I think I enjoyed getting to work in groups the best. I learned that having your own business is a lot of fun, but, it also requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Also working with your friends to do something for someone else feels really good.

    I learned that when its could and you have damp dirt its frozen, and you may want gloves.

    I liked geting to go over there and we got to plant the floweres and se the babby chiks.

    Soil is made from horse poop and is suposbly not germy. What I enjoyed most was that I got to pet a chicken.
