In diffusion, molecules travel from a higher cinctration to a lower concentration. For example, when you put ink into a glass of water the spreading of the ink in the water is called diffusion.

In osomosis, molecules travel from a higher concentration to a low contration, just like in diffusion. However omosis specifically refers to the movement of water molecules.

  2. Becky Stewart- 4th Period

Osmosis is the diffusion of fluids through membranes or porous partitions. Diffusion is to pour out and spread liquid.

  3. Osmosis is the diffusion of water through the the membrane.

  4. Diffusion is the movement of particles and osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane.

  5. Robert McClintock 2nd period

Osmosis is the diffusion of water through cell membranes.
Diffusion is the movement of particles from areas of high concentration to low concentration.

  6. Allison Dreisewerd - 4th period

Diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density, but osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermable membrane.

  7. Diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density, but osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane.

Diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density.Osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane.

  10. Diffusion is the movement of particles in areas of high density moving to areas of low density. osmoisis on the other hand, is the diffusion of water through any semi permeable membrane.

Diffusion is when particals move and osmosis is when particals move through water

diffusion is when the particles move

  19. Kris L. 2nd period

Diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density, while osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermable membrane.

  20. Osmosis is the process of water diffusing through a cell membrane. Diffusion is the movement of particles to areas of high concentration to lower concentration.

  21. Raine Aslan - 4th period

Dissusion is the process by which molecules spread from areas of high concentratiion, to areas of low concentration. Osmosis is the passage of water from a region of high water concentration through a semi-permeable membrane to a region of low water concentration.

  29. Sophia Fos. 4th period

Dissusion can happen anywhere on anything, its just when a substance moves from higher density to lower density. Osmosis is still diffusion but only occurs in a semipermeable membrane and can only happen with water.

  30. Caroline Whorton 6th

Diffusion is the membrane of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density. Osmosis is where water diffuses through a semipermeable membrane.

  31. Pamela Hussey-6th Period

The difference between diffusion and osmosis is diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density. Osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane.

What is the difference between diffusion and osmosis?

Diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density unlike Osmosis which is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane.

  35. diffusion seperates an object and osmosis seperates water from the oil or fat.
