The plant is twice the size of the animal cell. The animal cell has more objects in the inside.

  2. Savannnah Meagher 2nd on January 14th, 2010 4:50 pm

Well plant cells have a cell wall made up of cellulose and animals don’t but both cells have a nucleus.

  3. Becky Stewart - 4th Period on January 14th, 2010 5:05 pm

Plants and animals have some of the same things that include ribosomes, mitochondria, and a plasma membrane. There are other things however, that are unique to each type of cell. For example, plant cells contain cell walls, while animal cells do not.

  4. Julia Harrelson 5th Period on January 14th, 2010 5:45 pm

    Smiliarties:
-Plant & animal cells have cell membranes
-Plant & animal cells have nuclei
-Plant & animal cells have cytoplasm
Plant & animal cells have ribomomes
    Differences:
-Plant cells have cell wall & animal cells don’t
    -Plant cells have cholorplasts
-There are more lysomoes in the animal cell than the plant
    -Plant cells are rigid

plant and animal cells both work the same and do the same thing, plant cells have diffrent parts that do diffrent things than animal cells do

  6. Tonya Heathington on January 15th, 2010 8:59 am

They are the same by they are both cells
They are different by one has a nucleus and one doesn’t have a nucleus.

  7. Ruhi Singh-2 on January 15th, 2010 9:01 am

    alike
they both have cytoplasm, cell membranes, & ribosomes.
    difference
Plant cells have a cell wall and most plant cells contain chloroplasts and have a single large vacuole where as animal cells have none of these.

  8. Ebone' Yarbrough--5th period on January 15th, 2010 10:49 am

plant cells have a cell wall and chloroplast

animal cells don’t have cell walls or chloroplast.

  9. John Baudendistel on January 15th, 2010 11:14 am

They both have a cytoplasm, membrane, and ribosomes.

  10. Grant butler on January 15th, 2010 12:26 pm

    grant butler period 2
the plant cell is very much alike the animal cell. the animal cell has more parts than the plant cell though.

  11. amari ortiz on January 15th, 2010 3:10 pm

A plant cell has a cell wall and contains chloroplast. The animal cell has no cell wall and only has a membrane holding it together and contains no chloroplast.

  12. Brandon Archer 5th period on January 15th, 2010 6:00 pm

The plant cell has a rugged cell wall while the animal cell has a cell membrane.

  13. Kris L. 2nd period on January 15th, 2010 7:11 pm

The plant cell is smaller than a animal cell, but the animal cell has 1 less thing than the plant cell.

  14. caroline Whorton 6th on January 15th, 2010 9:22 pm

An animal cell has a cell membrane. A plant cell has a cell wall. Plant cells have more organelles than animal cells do.

  15. caroline Whorton 6th on January 15th, 2010 9:27 pm

The nucleus tells each cell what to do. The nucleus has a role in processes such as growth, metabolism, and reproduction.

  16. takara alexander 5th pd on January 16th, 2010 9:30 am

the plant cell talks about the cells of a plant and the animal cell talks about the cells of a animal and they both are cells

  17. alex 4th period on January 16th, 2010 10:34 am

plant cells have cell walls and animals cells don’t have cell walls.

  18. Madeline Holifield 4th period science on January 16th, 2010 12:11 pm

    Similarities:
-Plant and animal cells have cell membranes
-Plant and animal cells have nuclei
-Plant and animal cells have cytoplasm
-Plant and animal cells have mitochondria
-Plant and animal cells have lysosomes
-Plant and animal cells have ribosomes
    Differences:
-Plant cells have cell walls. Animal cells do not.
-There are more lysosomes in the animal cell than the plant.
    -Plant cells are rigid
    -Plant cells have chloroplasts

  19. Summer Berthelson-4th period 1/16/09 on January 16th, 2010 2:53 pm

A plant cell has a cell wall and chloroplasts. An animal cell is round and does not have a cell wall. These are the differences between the plant and animal cells.

  20. MaRhea Wood - 2nd period on January 16th, 2010 4:35 pm

    Similarities
Both animal and plant cells have similar structures. They have a cell membrane. They have a nucleus.
    Differences
Plant cells have a cell wall. It use photosynthesis. It has large vacuole’s.
Animal cells have small vacuole’s and have numerouse ones.

  21. Rachel Whorton 2nd on January 16th, 2010 5:04 pm

Plant and animal cells our quiet similar but have different functions.

  22. Sophia Fos. 4th period. on January 16th, 2010 5:16 pm

Plant cells have a wall made up of cellulose and can accept large amounts of water. Animal cells would pop if they recieved the same amount of water as plant cells and their wall is made up differently. Also plant cells have a large vacuole in the cytoplasm and animal cells do not. They both have a nucleus, cytoplasm, and a cell membrane. One last thing is plant cells have chloroplast animal cells do not.

  23. Raine Aslan - 4th period on January 16th, 2010 9:10 pm

One difference is that plant cells have a cell wall and animal cells don’t. Another difference is that animal cells are shaped like circles and plant cells are shaped like rectangles. Plant cells have a vacuole, a cell wall, and chloroplasts. Animal cells don’t have a vacuole, a cell wall, or chloroplasts.

  24. Logan Storey on January 17th, 2010 5:14 pm

They are both eukaryotic, differences between animal and plant cells is that plant cells have a cell wall made up of cellulose. An animal cell does not have this cell wall.

  25. Noah Milchuck - 5th period on January 18th, 2010 7:25 pm

plant cells are different than animal cells because they both work in a different way.

  26. Kelsey Schronce 5th period on January 18th, 2010 9:43 pm

Chloroplasts are only in plants and a cell wall is only in a plant.

  27. Chase Lovell 5th on January 19th, 2010 7:54 am

    Animal is saller then plant

  28. Andrew Hall 1st :D on January 19th, 2010 8:47 am
