It damaged their spinal chord and the signals being sent from the brain are not being intercepted by that part of the body.

That the nerves are blocked off from the brains directions it can not function so the nerves need the brains directions.

That they damaged the cord called the spinal chord that is like a highway for messages from the brain to the nerves. So if thats damaged the messages can’t reach the nerves to make them work.

he coudve broke a vertebrae and that vertebrae was controling your legs and then you coudnt move yur legs

That person probably damaged their spinal cord so the brain could not send messages to that part of the body so it could not control it therefore you would be paralyzed.

When you break your spine usually from the waste down or on a rare occasion you will paralyze your whole body because your nerves will be dead.
