The primary function of the spinal cord is to act as a “nerve highway.” It’s formed of nerves, which are used by the brain to communicate to the rest of the body. That’s why, when the spinal cord is severed, people can be paralyzed; because the nerves have no way of transmitting the information sent by the brain to the body parts it’s trying to send it to.

  7. its supported by the nerves so it will be safe

Our Spinal Nerves are important because without them we would be completely Immobile Meaning that we couldn’t move, Or would be in Paralysis. Our Vertebrae Protects protects our Spinal Cord from damage And allows us to have a backbone Because our Spinal nerves alone wouldn’t be solid enough to Sustain our wait and we would just fall over and be limp, so we need Vertebrae to Stabilize us.
