  4. The six parts of the lymphatic system are the lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, lymphocytes, lymph vessels, and thymus gland. The lymph nodes are small, round structures that filter lymph and produce lymphocytes. The tonsils are located at the back of the throat and protect the body against pathogens that enter through your nose and mouth. The spleen is an organ located in the left side of your body, and it filters blood of pathogens and old red blood cells. Lymphocytes are located in the lymph nodes are white blood cells that produce antibodies that protect the body from getting infections. Lymph vessels are vessels throughout the body that carry lymph away from tissues. The thymus gland is located in the upper chest and it helps build resistance to disease.
