Models are importantent in science because if you have a model of something it helps you to better understand the object.

  2. Julia Harrelson 5th Period on August 31st, 2009 5:01 pm

models are important in science because they show us more detail

  3. Julia Harrelson 5th Period on August 31st, 2009 5:04 pm

Controlled expriment is an experiment that only one factor at a time by using a comparison of a control group with an experimental group

I think models are important to have in science are because, some people my not really think with just words and so you have a picture or model to look at and sometimes follow. Also so its not all words and they might help you understand more.

  6. Natalie Seavers 6th on August 31st, 2009 6:30 pm

To show your work and also to hve proff

To model something to observe it.

  12. Crystal Whitehouse --- 6th Period on September 1st, 2009 12:00 pm

They are important because models allow scientists to study better systems that cannot be studied in real life or that would be too complicated to study.

  13. Will Cook 4th period on September 1st, 2009 12:03 pm

  16. Drake Horner 1st Period on September 2nd, 2009 11:28 am

Models are Important in Science beacuse It helps you figure out more about the Model or the thing you are Studying.

  17. Ryan Chamberlain 1st Period Science :D on September 2nd, 2009 11:43 am

They are important because they are your base of your project and you make models to show how you are going to make a certain project of experiment.

  18. Andrew Hall 1st Period on September 2nd, 2009 3:10 pm

They’re imrortant in sciece because they show them how the body ect. looks but without having a real person there and putting there body at risk

  19. Sophia Fosdick, 4th period on September 2nd, 2009 5:48 pm

Models are important because they help you see things or test things. Like, we never knew what the dodo bird looked like but models helped bring it to life, same with dinasours. For testing things, it may be for a new scientific gadget and models help test the gadget or lay it out for how it will be constructed. So models are very important to science.

  20. Taylor Brown (period 5) on September 2nd, 2009 6:13 pm

Models are important because they allow you to see what you are doing to help you better understand the experiment.

    Ex. Atom and Cell Models.

  23. Brady Purdin (2nd Peirod) on September 3rd, 2009 1:25 pm

    September 3, 2009

Models are important in science because the real thing costs a lot of money and people don’t want to spend a lot of money on things.

  24. hunter walker 1 on September 3rd, 2009 3:36 pm

they show how and what is in the object

  25. Caroline Whorton 6th period on September 3rd, 2009 3:41 pm

  26. Amanda Baer-Peckham 4th period on September 3rd, 2009 3:52 pm

Models are important because they can help explain how something works or descibe how something is structured. they can also be used to make predictions or observations, but remember models have limitations.

Because they show an example of what scientific things look like such as DNA.

  31. Abby Hicks 1st period on September 3rd, 2009 5:48 pm

In science, models are important because they allow us to touch and examine something that might be too small to see without the right tools or we might not have the real object we are studying.

  32. Emily Woodard on September 3rd, 2009 6:31 pm

It shows how you put each part of the project together and how it works.

  35. Latraza horton on September 4th, 2009 8:42 am

Models are important to science because people or scientists need examples.
For example siamese twins scientists need examples or models of the body so they would now where to disect or incision.

  36. Shaquera Wade 6th on September 4th, 2009 9:45 am

Models are important to science because it helps us use the right steps that suppose to be done in science….

  37. latraza horton 6th on September 4th, 2009 9:48 am

Models are important to science to show examples. For example siamese twins
doctors need models to kno where to make the first incision to seperate

some models help you picture and understand more about the thing you are working on.

  39. Amari Anderson- period 1 on September 4th, 2009 11:43 am

models are important for science because, they show what things look like in the inside or in a bigger shape.

  40. Logan Knox 2nd on September 4th, 2009 1:26 pm

Models are important because when you are building a rocket you need a smaller version before you can decide how to build the real one. So in other words a model is a smaller version of the real thing,

  41. stephen doran on September 4th, 2009 1:44 pm

modles are important to science becouse they will no what to do when they do the real one

  42. Zach Bennett - 1st Period on September 4th, 2009 3:38 pm

  48. Lucas Seibel 1st on September 4th, 2009 5:40 pm

Models show things in 3 demintion so you can see mor detail. I was at the vets today
and i saw a 3-D model of what heart worms do to dogs hearts and it had better detail than a regular 2-D picture.

  52. tonya heathington 1st period on September 4th, 2009 8:50 pm

models are important in science because Models provide an environment for interactive student engagement. Evidence from science education research shows that significant learning gains are achieved when students participate in interactive engagement activities. Thus, it is important that the learning environment/activity created around a model provide an interactive engagement experience.

  53. Elijah Hurskin 4th period 9/3/09 9:37PM on September 4th, 2009 9:38 pm

Models are very important when it comes to science. Models are basicaly examples of things that are too hard to containe or too expensive most of the times using very simple things to do it. A tornado for example can be modeled by taking a vaccume cleaner and let it suck up the mist that is created by dry ice at an angle. Then the mist will start to swirl up and turn into a miny tornado. Models can be used to simulate anything from an airplanes reaction to wind from a flood through a neighborhood.

  54. Steven Owens 5th on September 4th, 2009 9:54 pm

  56. Devin Platts 1st period on September 4th, 2009 11:06 pm

Models are important in science because if you where studying the heart you cant actuall look at it so you would look at a model to see what the heart looks like and how it operates.

  57. Marilyn Larry 6th onSept. 5, 2009 on September 5th, 2009 8:10 am

Models are important in science because scientist need smaller objects to test on.

  58. Michael Worshim-6th on September 5th, 2009 9:47 am

I think models are important because you need to see whats inside the model and also how it really works.

  59. Owen Clarke 4th on September 5th, 2009 11:00 am

Models help scientists understand what they are studying without it being in a real life situation.

  60. Becky Stewart - 4th Period on September 5th, 2009 1:38 pm

Mrs. Davis I’m sorry my blogs are late. I’ve been out all week with Swine

Models help you to see the object you are studying in the right size. It is easier to study something if it is closer to your size. Models can be made of skeletons, cells, or anything else that needs to be studied!

  61. MADISON EXTINE 5TH PERIOD on September 5th, 2009 7:22 pm

  66. John Parvin McBride-2nd on September 7th, 2009 7:25 pm

They are so you can understand it. They make things much less complex. They are also so you can do experiments on them. Also if there is something so small you can only see with a microscope it is much bigger, and if it is really big it is much smaller.

  67. James Russell 6th on September 7th, 2009 8:09 pm

Because you can do hands on activities with models.

so you ca beter sstudy things

  79. Max Stephenson 2nd on September 11th, 2009 8:31 am
