    Mrs.Davis, these are my stems for next week.

    aerobic-living only in the presence of air. sentence- In biology, we studied aerobic bacteria and how it has to have air to live.

    epidermis-the outer layer of skin. sentence- My little sister was confused when I said the word epidermis, until I told her that it was the outer layer of her skin.

    At home i sometimes do aerobic exercise with my mom.

    Aerobes- an organism that only lives in the presence of oxygen
    If you are near a place with low oxygen, you would not find many aerobes.

    Epi (on) Epidermis- the outer nonsensitive and nonvascular layer of the skin that overlies the dermis
    The largest organ in the body is known as the epidermis.

    Epicenter- the part of the earth’s surface directly above the focus of an
    earthquake
    The epicenter is one of the many sections of the earth like the core.

    Epi- epidemic- wide spread; contagious. The swine flu was considered an epidemic in Mexico.

    Malaria – a human disease that is caused by spozoan parasites in the red blood cells and is transmitted from the bite of anopheline mesquetoe. My cousen just got malaria last week because he got bit by a mesquetoe carrying the disease .

    In sixth grade i learned that the epicenter is right above the focus of an earth quake.

    Aer (air) : AERIAL- Of or pertaining to the air. AEROBIOLOGY- is a branch of biology that studies organic particles.

    The jet pilot did aerial stunts while controling the jet.
    I find the study of aerobiology interesting because I can learn about viruses and organic particles.

    Epi (on) : EPIC- Narrated in a grand style. EPILOGUE- A speech or short poem.

    I read an epic novel about President George Washington and his life.
    At the next PTA meeting I need to make sure I give an epilogue.

    Epidemic- affectin persons at the same time, and spreading from person to person in a locality where the disease is not permanently prevelant. Mexico had an epidemic of a disease called H1N1.

    Epigram- any witty, ingenious, or pointed saying tersely expressed. Michael wrote an epigram.

D: Aerodynamics Of or having a shape that reduces the drag from air moving pasted. The aerodynamic shape of cars and airplanes help them go faster. 3. EPI (ON) D: Epigram- a pithy saying or remark expressing an idea in a clever and amusing way. Bob uses epigrams to try and be funny and get peoples attention. 4.
