Let me help you on possibly one of the most complicating parts of the Science Fair.

You are required to state your hypothesis and variables due on Monday, Nov. 14

The Independent Variable is the change you decide to make in the experiment to test an outcome.

Example: If you are testing if plants will grow taller in soil planted with hair or without hair—

Independent Variable: Soil with hair and no hair

Dependent Variable: height of plant

Controls: same type of soil, same amount of water, same lighting, same measurement times, same method measuring, ———-

Hypothesis: If a plant is planted in human hair then it will grow taller than a plant not planted with human hair because human hair produces the abundance of nitrogen in the soil.
